More Motorcycle Riding Observations
Tuesday, July 1st, 2008Riding in to work today I had 2 interesting moments.
I realized that both of these situations do not rank very high on my “Good Places to Be” list.
The first is a situation that happens to a lot of motorcycle riders. Unfortunately you can not always choose who or what you follow behind while riding down the road. I found myself stuck behind a garbage truck for about 5 minutes this morning. No matter how much distance I put between me & the garbage truck I was still “splattered” with the mystery juice coming from the back of the garbage truck.
After this, I figured it could not get any worse, at least for today. Yeah, I was wrong.
When I merged onto the interstate I was forced to tuck in behind a trailer that was appropriately named “The Travelling Petting Zoo”. This trailer had an interesting odor flowing from it as well as numerous unidentified pieces of “stuff” that smacked into me like little hail balls.
Needless to say it was a “shitty” ride into work today.
